Simply put, what you are paying for (starting at around $10 per month and up depending on your needs) is your space on a computer that has a constant, high speed connection to the Internet.
...Every website online is hosted somewhere!
A domain name is the web address, or url of a website. For example, the domain name for this website is www.FlyMediaProductions.com.
It's a good idea to register your domain name (about $15 per year) once you are sure you know which one you want, as the more popular the name the quicker it will go. A good place to check the availability of a particular domain name is NetworkSolutions.com.
I'm sure you've heard it before but I'm gonna tell you again, the price really does depend on what you want, need and can afford. Just as every business is different, every project is different as well.
If you'd like to know how much your needs, wants and ideas are gonna cost and what your options are, please feel free to use our FREE Quote Form and we'll get back to you with an estimate as soon as we are able!
The answer is very simple: No. Although we are a small crew, we are still a business with business overhead. If your budget is $100 then chances are we are not the right crew for your project. However, if you can afford to spend just a few hundred dollars more then we could at least get you started with something really hot that you/we can add to over time as your budget allows.
Style plays an important role in the overall presence of your website, so it's important that aesthetically speaking you and your designer are on the same page. For a designer to bring you the best possible web presence it's important for them to not only be able to understand your style but ultimately your brands image as well. The best way to know if a designer will be able to do that is to first take a look at their work. You should be able to get an overall idea of what style they bring to the table from their portfolio.
That being said, if you like what you see here (the style of our website as well as the overall style of our portfolio work) then we can most definitely hook you up with something that will work well for your image and ultimately your brand.
How long it takes depends on the size of the project. Small to medium sites can be created rather quickly, typically between 2-6 weeks. Larger sites will obviously take longer, and can take up to several months depending on what's involved.

It's important to know that nine out of ten times if a project is falling behind schedule it's due to the client falling behind in getting materials to us. So how can you do your part in keeping things moving forward and on schedule?
Be prepared to do the following:
1. Be sure to return the signed agreement and deposit right away. All projects are scheduled on a first come first served basis. (Work does not begin on a project until receipt of deposit.) Your deposit holds a spot in our schedule for your project. The reason being is that we often send agreements out to clients claiming that they are ready to start yesterday, but then we don't hear from them until weeks later.
2. *Provide us with company Logo and Imagery as early as possible. This includes but is not limited to: your company logo or logos (in high quality .jpg, .png, .gif formats.), high quality photographs, and any other graphics you would like us to consider using in the design such as graphics already being used in print materials, signage, etc. (also in high quality .jpg, .png, or .gif formats).
3. *Provide all textual content to be used on your website as early as possible. This consists of any and all textual content that will be used on your new website, such as the copy for each individual page, contact info, etc.
4. Set up and provide us with domain name and hosting information. We will need this information in order to begin the build of your new website. If you aren't sure how or where to get website hosting and register a domain name please feel free to contact us and we can walk you through it.
5. Keep in touch. Once we receive all materials from you and come to an agreement on the layout and design you should expect to hear from us as we complete predetermined project benchmarks, such as when the initial design is completed, revisions are ready to review, and build portions are completed.
However, there will be instances (especially when creating an e-commerce website) where we will need to be able to get in touch with you more frequently during the website creation process. Your timely responses will ensure your project stays on schedule.
6. Make payments as scheduled and on time. Be sure to make all payments on time, including the final payment as websites are not made live until completion of the project, when all payments have been cleared.
*This is important not only due to keeping the project moving in a timely manner, but also because we use this information to provide you with the best site architecture and design possible.
